An earthquake charting in at a staggering 8.8 on the richter scale rocked Chile early Saturday morning. Tsunamis and aftershocks sparked by the earthquake have destroyed some coastal communities in Chile as well.

An estimated 700 people have been killed and about 2 million people have been left homeless because of destroyed buildings. Relief efforts have been quick to get to Chile to offer their help, but the Chilean people need all the support they can get at this time.
Here are a few ways you can donate to help with relief efforts:
American Red Cross: donate to their International Response Fund, which has already pledged $50,000 towards helping Chile.
Save the Children: help Save the Children’s emergency assessment team already assisting in Chile by giving to the Children’s Emergency Fund.
World Vision: This organization has been sending supplies and staff to help injured Chileans. Directly contribute to their cause by donating to their Disaster Response Fund.
Habitat for Humanity: Send a donation to this organization, which has previously built 1,300 homes in Chile and will help rebuild the affected areas.
